BOGO Kitchen: Privacy Policy

1. Summary

BOGO Kitchen (the Publix edition at bogokitchen.app/publix and the Winn-Dixie edition at bogokitchen.app/winndixie) is a web app that works on your device. In this version there are no accounts, no advertising, no third-party analytics or trackers, and no sale of personal information. The app only loads files from bogokitchen.app.

2. What stays on your device

Your shopping list, favorites, ratings, pantry and freshness items, meal plans, preferences (for example allergies or diet filters you choose), cooking progress, trial dates and any deals the owner enters are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data, or uninstalling the app, removes them.

3. Camera, photos and microphone

• Barcode, QR, pantry and receipt scans run on your device. Photos and camera frames are not uploaded. An optional cloud food-recognition service is turned off in this version.
• Voice commands use your browser's speech features. Depending on your browser, speech recognition may be processed by the browser maker (for example Google or Apple) under their privacy terms. You can always use the buttons instead.

4. Payments

Paid plans are coming soon. No payment is taken in this version. When paid plans start, payments will be handled by Stripe; we will update this policy first. [Attorney: add Stripe disclosure when enabled.]

5. Server logs

Our host (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and request time to deliver and protect the site. [Attorney: confirm Cloudflare data-processing terms and retention; list any Cloudflare features enabled, e.g. Web Analytics, if turned on later.]

6. Children

BOGO Kitchen is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 may use it only through a kid profile created by a parent or guardian. Kid profiles store nothing off the device in this version. [Attorney: confirm COPPA approach before any account or sync feature.]

7. Links

Some recipes link to public sources (for example USDA FoodSafety.gov). Those sites have their own policies.

8. Retailers

BOGO Kitchen is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by Publix Super Markets, Inc., Winn-Dixie or its owners, or any other retailer. We do not share data with retailers.

9. Changes and your rights

We will post changes here with a new version date. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access or delete personal data; because this version keeps your data on your device, you can view and delete it yourself. Contact: [owner contact email to be added].
